Charles E. “Chuck” Fagan, III
President and CEO, Velera

Charles E. (“Chuck”) Fagan III was appointed president and chief executive officer in January 2024. In this role, he leads the strategic direction of the company and oversees all aspects of Velera’s operations, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class payments solutions, innovative technology, unparalleled service, data security, and long-term success and sustainability for the company’s Owner credit unions.

Prior to the PSCU/Co-op Solutions combination, now branded as Velera, Fagan served as president and chief executive officer of PSCU since April 2015.

A frequently requested speaker, Fagan is an advocate for the credit union industry and an active member of the community. Currently, he serves as a member of Visa’s Executive Client Council, chair of the board for Lumin Digital, a member of the board of directors for Kinective, a member of the Florida Chapter of the American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer and a member of the Board of Visitors at Longwood University. Fagan has also served as a member of Visa’s Credit Union Roundtable and Community Financial Institution Advisory Group, Board Treasurer for Bonifii (formerly CULedger) and a member of the Board of Directors for America’s Credit Union Museum. In 2025, he received the Corporate Hero Award from the PenFed Foundation and was again named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Power 100, which recognizes the most influential business leaders in the Tampa Bay region. Fagan holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.
